How to Gain Leads Using Hunter.io

The ability to gain a list of leads targeting a specific demographic makes you valuable. But the ability to gain that same list of leads in a matter of 20–30 minutes makes you invaluable.

Hunter.io is a tool you can use to gather a list of leads from specific businesses. You can also verify emails, search for bulk lists, send and track emails, and so much more all from inside the app.

In comparison to similar tools like Rocketreach, there are multiple reasons to choose Hunter.io.

  • Rocketreach doesn’t provide CRM, Hunter.io does.
  • Hunter.io’s starting price is $49 vs Rocketreach’s starting price of $59.
  • Hunter.io provides significantly more integrations than Rocketreach.

Overall Hunter.io is just a great choice. So in this blog, I’ll be teaching you how you can gain leads using Hunter.io. I also created a video tutorial on it, you can view that here.

Domain Search

So the first page it brings you to is the domain search. This is the most simple way to find leads. All you have to do is enter in a company domain (ex. Company.com) and click search and you should have a list of emails appear.

Keep in mind that the smaller the company, the less likely it is to have a long list of emails. Small companies usually only provide 0–5 emails whereas larger ones can provide hundreds.

Email Finder

The next option they provide is the Email Finder, here you can enter in any name and the company they work for and Hunter.io will try to find their email.

This could be especially helpful if you found someone on social media such as Linkedin and you needed their email.

Email Verification

After you’ve searched a few domains and added a couple of emails to your leads list, you can go over to the verifier.

This is incredibly helpful. You want to make sure your email addresses are valid and running to ensure that your emails are actually being seen by their recipients.

Here you can copy and paste any email and it will provide you with the validity of it. The email verifier will also let you know the format, the server status, the type, and the email status, as well as any sources linked to it.

Bulk Tasks

This is where gaining leads fast can become easy. In the bulk tasks section, you can enter an entire list of domains and receive thousands of leads ranked from best to worst based on their validity.

This makes the process super easy. One thing to note though is to keep an eye on how many domain searches you’ve used because each search in bulk searches still counts as one of your searches.

The free plan only provides you with 50 searches per month but you can always upgrade to gain more. Here’s a picture of their pricing:

View Your Leads

In the last two sections, you can view your leads and send out campaigns. You can either view all your leads in one place or make folders for specific demographics.

Just like that, you have an entire list of leads! From here it’s super easy to transfer them to an email list or send out an email campaign right on the app.
