Hey! I’m spending 30 days building a series of tutorial videos and blog posts demonstrating how to use strategic tech tools that benefit startups. This is my week one documentation. If you’re interested in learning more about my project, you can view the full project here.

This week I focused on finding a project that demonstrated my ability to learn quickly and teach what I just learned proficiently. I spent a large portion of it organizing and dividing work into specific time slots then creating a task management system.

The Project Idea

I entertained several ideas but the one that stuck out the most to me was to create a series of tutorial videos on how to use various tech tools.

This stood out to me because, during my first couple of months of Praxis, clear and simple tutorials on various tech tools I was trying to learn could’ve been very beneficial to me.

I soon realized this isn’t only beneficial to Praxis participants but to anyone wanting to leverage their business by using tech tools. I wanted to help others by creating clear and concise tutorials all compiled in one place.

During this process, I would be building a mock-up website of the company Strava to use as an example throughout the project. I noticed they could benefit from several of the tools I was demonstrating so I created the mock-up website as the base for my tutorials.

Organizing My Work

First I created a project overview with what I wanted to accomplish for the month. Next, I updated my calendar with designated work slots. Here’s a screenshot of what one of my weeks would look like.

I then broke the entire project down task by task and created a checklist on Notion. You can view my project management checklist here.

After I finished that, I got a headstart on week two. In week two I will be focusing on building and demonstrating several tools needed to build a successful website. You can view my week two documentation here.
